DropBuySell FAQ
1: What can I sell?
Dropbuysell can sell almost anything for you on eBay providing the item has an expected value in excess of £25 and is capable of being shipped within the United Kingdom. (Cars can also be sold, please call 028 90456995 for details) We are unable to sell items which are prohibited by eBay.
2: Will my items be safe?
All valuable items are stored in secure off site facilities. Once sold, items are professionally wrapped and dispatched to buyers. Should a customer feel uncomfortable about leaving a valuable item with us during the duration of an auction it may be possible for them to retain it (subject to agreement).
3: What if my item doesn’t sell?
Items which don’t sell can be re-listed, collected or passed onto charity on request. All items which are not collected or discussed within 60 days of sale will be passed to charity.
4: What happens if the buyer doesn’t pay for the item?
If the buyer fails to arrange for payment within 7 days of the close of the auction we will file a non-payment notice with eBay. eBay will then contact the buyer to request payment and if this is still not forthcoming the buyer can be removed from eBay. The item can then be offered to the 2nd highest bidder and/or relisted for free.
5: What's the benefit to the consumer?
Ease and convenience are the greatest consumer benefits. We do all the hard work, from professionally photographing your items, researching, describing, listing, answering customer emails and phone calls to storing, packing, dispatching and tracking. All you have to do is sit back and wait for the cheque.
6: Do I have to pay you any money?
Dropbuysell do not charge any upfront fees for our silver listing. Upgrade listings are available and all items are subject to final sale price commission.
7: How long does it take?
Dropbuysell’s auctions usually run for a period of ten days. This allows for maximum exposure to the millions of eBay users (1, 3 & 7 day auctions available on request) When items are sold we await payment from the buyer. Once complete, a cheque is usually dispatched within 10 days. (Cheques can also be collected)
8: Do you collect?
Collections can be arranged subject to geographical and weight restrictions. A small fee may be incurred for this service. House calls can also be arranged for specialist or valuable items such as antiques or jewellery.
9: What if my item sells for less than what I wanted?
This issue should never arise. Dropbuysell have a range of selling packages designed to cater for all items. We will research your items when you bring them to our premises, giving you an estimate as to their eBay value before you put them up for auction. Should you wish, you can stipulate a start price or reserve (minimum price that you are prepared to accept for the item). Items sold without reserves are legally binding therefore have to be sold. See our fees page.
10: Where are you located and how can I contact you?
Fill in the email form on the left or check out our locations. You can also telephone us on 028 90456995.
11: Can I view my auctions in progress?
Yes! If your item is currently being sold by Dropbuysell it will appear in the ‘our auctions’ section of the website. Dropbuysell can also send you a link to your auction if you provide us with a current email address. Customers may also email us at staff@dropbuysell.wandaoo.co.uk or call us for updates.
12: Why do you start most auctions at £4.99?
In our experience, selecting a low starting price (Silver Service, no prepay required) usually results in a higher final sale price because there will be more bidders. Customers can select a higher starting price by using our Gold or Platinum Service (See our fees page, refundable if item sells) although the item may attract less interest.
